Golden Globes 2013: Why are they so excited about 5s?

I would like to have a disclaimer at the top of this post.  My personal choices and what I think the Golden Globe winner will be will not always be the same.  This is due to two things: 1.  I have yet to see a couple of the "hyped" movies of the year and 2.  The HFPA is insane.  That being said, to the horror of the TV Lass, my most important TV viewing of the day will be the Patriots vs. Texans game tomorrow afternoon (go Pats!).  After that I will do a DVR slow fast forward through the red carpet and on to the Golden Globes.  I have high hopes for Tina and Amy (to be followed by major disappointment brought by Seth MacFarlane), and I know that they can bring it tomorrow night.  With all of that said, here are my choices...

BEST MOTION PICTURE, DRAMA
Argo - Argo f-ck yourself!  My choice because the HFPA is obsessed with famous people and not always the best movie.
Django Unchained
Life of Pi
Lincoln
Zero Dark Thirty
BEST MOTION PICTURE, COMEDY OR MUSICAL
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Les Misérables - I'm a sucker for musicals, what can I say?
Moonrise Kingdom
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

Bill Murray, Hyde Park on Hudson

BEST ACTRESS, COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Emily Blunt, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen

Argo

BEST ANIMATED FILM
Brave - My choice, the only one I've seen.  But come on, it's Disney.
Frankenweenie
Hotel Transylvania
Rise of the Guardians

Anna Karenina
Cloud Atlas
Lincoln - My choice

BEST ORIGINAL SONG
“For You,” Act of Valor
“Not Running Anymore,” Stand Up Guys

“Suddenly,” Les Misérables

BEST TELEVISION SERIES, DRAMA
Breaking Bad
Boardwalk Empire
Downton Abbey

The Newsroom

BEST TELEVISION SERIES, COMEDY OR MUSICAL
The Big Bang Theory
Episodes
Girls
Modern Family - Ugh.  How are Parks and Rec and Louie not on here?  I should not choose one out of protest but I have a feeling it will be Modern Family (unfortunately)
Smash

BEST ACTOR, TELEVISION DRAMA
Steve Buscemi, Boardwalk Empire
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad
Jeff Daniels, The Newsroom
Jon Hamm, Mad Men
Damian Lewis, Homeland - He's foreign!  And on a good show!
