Golden Globes 2013: Results and Commentary

Tina and Amy kept saying to lower our expectations for tonight, and in my opinion they killed it. I had some laugh out loud moments, and that's all you can ask for.  They brought some fun back to the awards. The most surprising thing is how out of touch the HFPA made the academy seem in one night.  Oddly, it's the HFPA who is usually more self serving.

It was a big night for women especially Lena Dunham and Jessica Chastain with two women hosting, as well as Jodie Foster winning the lifetime achievement at fifty. At least this made the Oscars even more unpredictable in terms of many categories.

Overall it was an entertaining night, Meg won the competition.  But I am surprised at how many categories I was able to beat her. We have a lot of movie watching until the Oscars, and I cannot wait how to see the commentary about tonight's show and Argo's Director triumph.  It is one big Argo fuck yourself.

P.S. Olivia Munn was my favorite best dressed.
